Wimbledon Wine
Wimbledon Wine School is an Approved Programme Provider for the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. We also host regular themed wine dinners often with guest wine makers as well as hosting corporate events at our venues or in your office.
Our aim is to make understanding and learning about wine as interesting and as fun as possible. It is all about getting you as close to the vineyards and the hugely talented wine makers as possible without actually being there – although we arrange vineyard visits as well!

Escape the winter chill and venture off the beaten path into the hidden corners of the Spanish peninsula. We’ll be moving beyond the famous regions to discover "secret" gems and modern styles that showcase the incredible diversity of Spain’s lesser-known terroirs.
The Wines
Val de Vid Rueda - a bright, aromatic Verdejo that sets the tone with its crisp acidity and citrus notes. Made from 80% Verdejo from 30-year-old vineyards and 20% Viura from vineyards over 50 years old
The Whites: From the cool, green corner of Northwest Spain, we'll enjoy the mineral elegance of Godello, followed by a premium Albariño from Pazo Pondal (not your average seaside white! - expect a complex, structured wine with layers of white peach and saltiness.)
The Reds: Highlighting the power and grace of Spain’s inland vineyards, we'll drink Bodega Mustiguillo’s Finca Terrerazo from Valencia (a pioneering wine made from the Bobal grape that proved this region could produce world-class fine wine) alongside the Valderiz Crianza 2020, a powerhouse from Ribera del Duero that offers intense black fruit and sophisticated oak integration.
The Finale: No Spanish journey is complete without a nod to the south. We'll conclude the evening with a beautifully balanced off-dry Sherry, providing a nutty, complex finish that lingers long after the final course.

Our wine dinners are relatively intimate evenings which include a three course meal and accompanying wines on a set theme. They are enjoyable and social occasions and suitable for all wine lovers, as well as those who just want a good night out!
