Online Wine Courses
Wimbledon Wine School
WSET Course Online Level 2 - January fully booked, new course starts in March.
I hope you are all safe and well. Thank you everyone for your support through 2020 and please keep going through 2021! I can't tell you how grateful I am. The support my company has had from so many customers has been, quite frankly, amazing. Thank you. It has made all the difference. I'll send out a separate newsletter with more details of the wines for sale but if anyone would like more details of my Coronavirus Lockdown Survival Kit please email me.
I don't know about you but my wine consumption has definitely increased since lockdown began and that's saying something! I've been thoroughly enjoying tasting stunning wines from all over the world, reminding myself about the growers, styles and influences that went into making these wines so great. My cellar is somewhat depleted … It made me think that this might be the perfect moment for some of you to combine your passion for wine and get a serious wine qualification at the same time. So WSET are allowing approved and certified educators like me to run online courses through their online classroom. The Level 2 Award in Wine is an excellent course and is designed for beginners to intermediate. I would be your online educator. I need 12 people to sign up in order to run the course. More information below.
For individuals seeking a core understanding of wines, this qualification explores the major grape varieties and important wine regions in which they are grown. You’ll learn about the styles of wines produced from these grapes as well as key classifications and labelling terminology. Upon successful completion, you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo. This is the Level 2 Wines (not Spirits)
Each course has a set start and finish date, with clear guidelines on progression, however there are no fixed times to log-on as there is no "live" delivery of content. Students can complete their learning at times that suit them. You'll be sent a study pack in advance of the course start date.
Students will learn through a range of independent and/or group activities supported by videos and quizzes, designed to achieve the required learning outcomes to prepare for the examination.
Throughout the course students will have access to a subject-specialist educator (me in this case!) who’ll provide feedback on any assigned exercises and respond to course related queries. You will need to sit an exam at the end of the course and this will be in Wimbledon - when it is safe to do so.
Thank you so much for your continued support. If you would like more information please do get in touch - email@example.com
